Progress continues as the town of Cornersville expands its business base and its population. Streets have been paved, shade trees have been planted, and a moss lawn has replaced the previous dirt/mulch bare ground. New homes and businesses have sprung up and new homes and a church have been built. The rail station has been modernized to include electric lighting. Most other buildings are awaiting lighting equipment from the local REA (Rural Electric Amazon). Sidewalks should be installed shortly so the new residents don't have to get their shoes muddy. The local farmer is awaiting a shipment of livestock for his mini-ranch.
